On December 7 and 8, 2009, 2009 CBI Ship-owners Convention was convened at Crown Plaza Hotel Shanghai. More than 150 delegates from shippers, ship owners, shipping agents, ship management firms, shipyards, logistics companies, consultancy firms, law firms, universities, government, etc. located in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, etc. gathered to discuss about the challenges for the shipping industry.
To ensure the diversity of the event, this annual convention consisted of a general forum and two sub-forums. The general forum analyzed the overall landscape of shipping industry and ship financing. One sub-forum focused on ship operation and management, and the other one on ship repairing and building.

The one-an-a-half day conference was a grand gathering of about one hundred leading personals from EV power battery and new energy automobiles in China and aboard, discussing practicability of EV power battery for better communication between complete vehicles and battery enterprise. The conference offered technological and product guarantee to mass sampling application of power automobiles in China.
